The Bala Retreat is an intentional, internal journey. Conducted predominantly in silence, it invites you to disconnect from technology to fully reap the benefits of looking within. This deeply personal, customized experience is kept strictly intimate, hosting just one to three participants.
In contrast, the Women’s Retreat focuses outward, centering on community, authentic connection, and social sharing. These gatherings are slightly larger, ranging from three to six participants depending on the season. However, you are welcome to disconnect from technology or minimize use throughout this retreat as well.

It depends on the retreat, so please read the description as it will note it. The bala retreat is traditionally held in silence, this practice typically applies to the core days of the experience, excluding arrival day, departure day and teacher one-on-one sessions.
(Note: There's always the option to break silence if needed with your facilitator outside of teacher meetings.)
